Career
Steve Lin is a partner in the Beijing office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Steve focuses his practice on capital markets and other corporate matters, especially on full service legal advice to clients in capital markets in complex legal matters, including initial public offerings in the United States and Hong Kong, and SPAC-related transactions. He has extensive experience in PRC TMT and new economy spaces, as well as in other sectors such as EV, renewable energy, fintech, e-commerce, education and healthcare. Steve also advises listed companies in a variety of compliance and corporate governance matters, as well as growing companies in pre-IPO matters such as financing, corporate structure, share incentive plans and shareholder relationships.
Steve was recognized as a Highly Regarded Lawyer for capital markets by IFLR1000 in 2023. He was also named one of “China Top 15 TMT Lawyers” by Asian Legal Business in 2021 and an “A-list Lawyer” by China Business Law Journal in 2020.
