Carmen is part of the law firm Mayora & Mayora since 2007, specializing in immigration matters, work permits for foreigners, sanitary registrations and corporate and civil contracts for various clients in the aviation, beverage, pharmaceutical and food industries, aviation, among others.

She obtained her law degree from Francisco Marroquín University. She has a Master’s Degree in Finance and Taxation from Francisco Marroquín University and a Master’s Degree in Business Law (LLM) (International Version), from the Catholic Universtiy of Chile.

She is a professor of civil contracts at Francisco Marroquín University and participates in the University’s Faculty Council, as a representative of the professors.

She is currently President of the Immigration Committee of AmCham Guatemala.
