Career
Alvino Van Schalkwyk is a counsel in the firm’s London office, and a member of the Financial Services group. He has extensive experience representing major investment banks, private equity funds, and corporates in connection with the structuring of derivatives products and related transactions involving derivatives and other financial instruments.
His practice includes advising clients with respect to the following:
- Fixed income and foreign exchange
- Derivatives forming an integral part of a leveraged finance, high-yield bond issuance, project or infrastructure transaction
- Holdco and private equity level derivatives transactions
- Repurchase transactions
- Securities lending
- Standalone ISDA negotiations
- Prime broker documentation
Alvino regularly represents clients in the European and U.S. markets and has been on secondment with two major financial institutions.
