Career

Hesham is a former member of the Egyptian Judiciary and had served as a bench judge in different courts levels (criminal, civil and commercial). His latest service was in the Cairo Appellate Court. Hesham focuses on banking and finance, trade and commerce, trademarks, dispute resolution, and criminal cases. He has participated in drafting and reviewing many Egyptian legislation, including the Egyptian Investment Law and the Egyptian Capital Markets Law.

Hesham was admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association in 1985.

Education

Hesham received his BA  with honors in 1984 from the Faculty of Law of Alexandria University. He also obtained a master’s degree from the same faculty in 1992, followed by an master’s degree in law, with honors, from Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2007, he was considered for nomination for the Distinguished Alumni Award of the Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
