Associate Director for and on behalf of JB Leitch Real Estate

Establishing the Real Estate department in 2015, Robert is experienced across all areas of Real Estate, in particular in work supporting our Property Litigation team, and handles lease extensions, enfranchisement, Rights to Manage and non-contentious commercial property matters including new leases, headleases and underleases, assignments, Licences and Deeds of Variation.

Career

By building the department from its inception, Robert has ensured that the team’s reporting systems are entirely tailored to client need, delivering exceptional real-time management information for clients through J B Leitch’s investment in technology. Further, Robert has been able to shape the department’s resource according to the needs of both the firm’s clients and the skills required by the Real Estate team’s caseload.

Robert has led the team on significant Real Estate matters including the variation of onerous ground rent provisions in thousands of Taylor Wimpey leases, the management of complex enfranchisement claims and defending enfranchisement claims, and the acquisition of investment portfolios for a large freeholder client. Establishing his expertise within the firm and with clients, Robert is a contributor to the firm’s thought leadership blog, commenting in particular on matters relating to leasehold reform.

Robert takes a hands-on approach to his work and leadership, and is a highly-motivated, efficient and commercially-minded solicitor enjoying excellent client and team relationships. Approachable and technically proficient, Robert is central to the continued development of J B Leitch Real Estate Ltd.
