Valeria is a Senior Associate with CIS LONDON specialising in venture investments and corporate governance. She is a lawyer qualified in Russia with an extensive background in intellectual property commercialisation and corporate law. Valeria has advised on complex venture financings of various rounds, both directed at and originating from the CIS region. She has also assisted a number of international businesses in entering the Russian market and structuring their business locally. Her experience includes carrying out complex cross-border M&A projects involving groups of target companies.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
