Career

Bukola has worked in Social Housing for over 20 years. She is recognised for her expertise in housing and leasehold management matters especially in contentious matters relating to anti-social behaviour, breach of covenant, forfeiture, right to manage and leasehold enfranchisement.

It started from qualification. Seeing how the business has stayed loyal to the sector in which I practice and how the business in general has evolved through the mergers and acquisitions and adapted accordingly, making it stand out in a sea of stagnation.  I see that SHMA challenges outdated norms, and is paving the way.

In a world where businesses constantly evolve, there has always been a magnetic pull towards SHMA as I believe it truly understands the intricate web of social housing. It is a key player in advising the sector about catalysing dynamic change, offering thought provoking solutions, and unwaveringly supporting the sector while challenging its place for residents and key stakeholders.

To understand social housing is to understand the complexities of human lives, aspirations, and challenges. I am attracted to SHMA because the people that work here, and in the sector I practice in do. They are thought provokers, constantly advising on how they can push the boundaries of what’s possible to assist their clients. I want to be part of that.
