Career

In 1998 Louise joined Blocks Solicitors in Ipswich and was a partner there.

After relocating to live in North Suffolk, Louise left Blocks in 2005 to work in Norwich; she was responsible for a Community Legal Advice helpline contract before moving to Essex in 2013.  Louise was recruited by Attwaters Jameson Hill to build up the presence of their family department in Loughton, something which she did with great success before leaving in 2019.

Louise joined Pinney Talfourd in October 2019 as a senior associate and was made Partner in 2023. She is the lead lawyer in the firm’s surrogacy/infertility/modern family offering.

Louise is a mentor to junior members of staff from other departments and is also involved in supervising junior members of her team.

In addition to these roles Louise is responsible for firm wide compliance with law society practice management standards.

Louise’s clients are often recommended to her by previous clients who have been pleased with the way that she has dealt with their case.

She is highly experienced in dealing with a wide range of cases from divorce settlements worth millions of pounds to complex children cases involving domestic abuse in all its forms.

Louise is passionate about helping families to get through a difficult time in their lives and takes great pride in seeing them start a new chapter and move forward.    To do this she calls on various methods of dispute resolution to ensure that the process is best suited to the client’s needs and budget.

Coming from a blended family herself, Louise is proud to be able to offer advice and support to modern families.

Memberships

Louise is a member of Resolution.  She has the prestige of being accredited as a specialist for complex lower income financial remedies and cohabitation.

Louise was named as a key lawyer in the 2023 legal 500 rankings ‘Louise Eady has a remarkable ability to get difficult clients to focus on the key strategic issues and not to get side-tracked by emotive but ultimately insignificant peripheral points.’

Education

Louise worked as a court assistant at Braintree Magistrate’s court before studying for her law degree at the University of Teesside. After graduating in 1993, Louise joined Alistair Keeble and Passmore in Colchester whilst studying part time for her legal practice course.

Having completed the legal practice course and her training contract Louise qualified as a solicitor in 1997.
