With a background as a Chartered Tax Advisor as well as a Solicitor, Catherine is the Firm’s founder and brings to the Firm the mix of skills needed for commercial success.

Catherine is passionate about enterprise and supporting SMEs and start-ups. She oversees the practice and drives profit. Catherine’s client work involves steering her clients through various commercial challenges ranging from managing complex disputes, commercial transactions or corporate re-organisations.

Corporate and commercial work

Catherine takes the time to get to know her clients and what they need, whatever their industry. When they are in trouble, she is drafted in to troubleshoot and resolve disputes, however her clients need her. Her aim is to cause minimum disruption to the business and resolve problems commercially.

Her day-to-day work focuses on higher profile cases, including clients ranging from art galleries and restaurants, to hedge fund partnerships and software development companies and everything in between. She often advises directors and senior employees during a crisis and is always available when the going gets tough to guide and support them towards a commercial resolution. Along with her team and litigation partner Alex Kleanthous, she brings the gravitas, legal knowledge and practical experience needed to face even the most complex matters head on.

Tax

Catherine also uses her dual tax and legal background to join the dots and provide rounded recommendations for clients. Particular areas of tax expertise include: employee share incentive arrangements, re-organisations, mergers and entrepreneurs’ relief.

Catherine is also a regular writer and speaker for a variety of commercial organisations and hosts a number of events for entrepreneurs.
