Stephen Bishop is one of the firm’s founding partners. With a career spanning almost forty years, Stephen is a well-known and respected practitioner with unrivalled expertise in residential property matters. His practice also touches on some commercial property and trusts, estates and tax issues. His career – starting in the 1970s – has seen him specialise almost exclusively in residential property and related transactional work. It is with good reason that Stephen’s name is such a recognised and trusted one within the industry, by other solicitors and conveyancers, as well as other professionals practicing in the area. His clients are drawn from individuals, corporate entities and third party lenders. They include UK nationals and those involved in property transactions from abroad. His ability to retain the trust and support of clients – often across repeated transactions – is testament not only to his legal acumen, but also the comprehensive common-sense approach that permeates the work he does. Stephen’s vast experience in buying and selling leasehold and freehold properties in Central London is second to none. He often advises clients on how to structure bids for property acquisitions and on how to set up offshore trusts. He is particularly adept at managing high-net-worth transactions of considerable complexity.
