Mr. Shantanu Dev has extensive experience of working on various Land related dispute and exceptional knowledge in the fields of corporate and commercial law. His area of practice includes taxation, labour matters, construction and property law, international business, Muslim family law, Negotiable Instruments, Admiralty law, banking and finance matters, Artha Rin Adalat, joint ventures etc. His expertise includes drafting of various types of Commercial Contracts/Agreements including high profile Lease Agreements, Documentation and Due Diligences, advising/strategizing/briefing on corporate/commercial litigation matters etc. for various large MNC’s and Bangladeshi clients.

Ms. Dev is a qualified barrister who completed his Bar Professional Training Course (PGDL) at the University of West of England in Bristol, UK. He is a member of the Hon’ble Society of Lincoln’s Inn’s. He is awarded with a Master of Laws in International Trade and Economic Law from the University of West of England in Bristol. After returning to Bangladesh, he began working with a notable Supreme Court of Bangladesh advocate, Barrister Shameem Aziz, at his well-respected law firm Shameem Aziz and Associates, where he had the opportunity to fulfil the vetting responsibility for 220 acres of land documents for Bashundhara Oil & Gas Company Limited under the lead arrangement of Bank Asia Ltd.

 

His proficiency also involves furnishing various legal opinions and filing suits in various courts of Bangladesh including Money loan Court, Civil Suits, Labour Tribunal and information Commission. As an Advocate of Bangladesh Bar Council, he represented Robi Axiata, QS Services, Shanta Holdings Ltd, Citibank NA, HSBC, Prime Bank Limited etc in various civil and criminal cases in the sub-ordinate courts as well as Labour Court, Customs Excise & VAT Appellate Tribunal, Bangladesh.
