Career

Mr. Hasan has a broad range of experience in civil, commercial, corporate, company, project finance, energy law, intellectual property, arbitration and constitutional matters. He has assisted Partners and Associate Partners in number of high-value foreign direct investment and loan syndication projects in Bangladesh. Recently, he has acted as a co-counsel of bKash Limited in the acquisition of some shares by the renowned SoftBank Group, which is the biggest ever foreign direct investment in the MFS sector of Bangladesh. Mr. Hasan has assisted Senior Counsels in a number of high value and complex arbitration matters before the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission in energy law disputes. Apart from that, he regularly advises wide range of clientele on labour and employment, company, taxation, energy, telecommunication and banking law matters. In addition, Mr. Hasan has experience in working with various government authorities including Bangladesh Investment and Development Authority (BIDA), National Board of Revenue (NBR), Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, and Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC). Mr. Hasan is a Barrister-at-Law of England and Wales. He also completed an LLM in Commercial Law from University of the West of England. He is enrolled as an Advocate of Bangladesh Bar Council.
