Career
Monica is an Accredited Family Law Specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria, a trained mediator and collaborative lawyer, and has more than 20 years’ experience working in family law. She is a highly skilled practitioner, with deep expertise with complex financial and property cases, and complicated parenting matters, including international relocation matters and child abduction.
Monica takes a holistic approach to supporting her clients, recommending the use of psychologists, family report writers and financial experts to ensure the best outcome for her clients, tailored to their specific needs. She has deep empathy for her clients, and supporting them through one of the most difficult situations in their lives is enormously rewarding for her.
Monica has presented numerous seminars for her peers (including for the Television Education Network and Legalwise) on topics such as Binding Financial Agreements, complex parenting and property matters (including surrogacy), child support and family violence. She also co-authored the Property Law section of the Lawyers Practice Manual.
Monica is an active member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Victorian Women’s Lawyers, and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
