Career

David is VWV’s Chairman and a corporate and banking lawyer, based in our London office. As part of our sector focus, David concentrates in particular on advising Independent Schools (both charities and commercial groups) and Family Owned SME businesses. He also co-ordinates our International offering to overseas clients living, working or investing in the UK, and UK clients investing abroad. David advises principally on transactions – mergers, acquisitions, Employee Ownership Trusts, disposals and funding – and helps clients with the strategic planning that drives those activities.

More than 25 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer, and a pragmatic commercial approach, brings an ability to take a helicopter view of any client project, to help clients identify and decide their priorities and attitude to risk. David considers it a privilege to act for clients at key moments in their personal or corporate lives, and his job is to guide you as calmly as possible through the challenges and process of any transaction, as a trusted adviser.
