Career

Elizabeth is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in the Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. Elizabeth has nearly a decade of legal experience in resolving high-stakes, complex disputes through international commercial and investment treaty arbitration. She formerly practised in leading international arbitration teams in London, Hong Kong and New York.

Elizabeth has represented State and commercial clients in a range of disputes involving complex issues such as parallel arbitration, receivership and debt enforcement actions in multiple jurisdictions, consolidation of multiple arbitrations and bifurcation proceedings Her extensive experience spans a range of major arbitral rules, including HKIAC, ICC, LCIA, ICDR, ICSID, and UNCITRAL, and encompasses diverse arbitral seats such as The Hague, Singapore, London, Geneva, Austria, Hawaii, and Washington, DC.

Notably, she has been recognised as one of the top four individuals in the Asia-Pacific region by Who’s Who Legal – Future Leaders – Arbitration 2022. Elizabeth also regularly writes and speaks on issues relating to the intersection of technology and international dispute resolution.

Since 2020, Elizabeth has also held significant board and leadership positions in the NGO sector. As a Board Director of ArbitralWomen, a Board Director of Pro Bono Hong Kong, and a member of the Leadership Team for Girls Just Wanna Have Fund$, she is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in the field of law and beyond. Elizabeth received a BA/LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland and an LLM from Yale University as a Fulbright Scholar.
