Career

Stuart qualified as a Solicitor in 2015 and joined TWM Solicitors LLP in 2016.  He was promoted to Partner in 2021 and is based in the Guildford office but also works out of the Epsom office, and is happy to meet clients at all TWM locations.

Stuart has many years’ experience in Private Client work, including dealing with the full spectrum of private client matters, with a particular interest in complex estate planning, cross-border work and tax.

Stuart deals with all types of Trust and Estate Disputes, including:

  • Lack of testamentary capacity
  • Lack of due execution
  • Lack of knowledge and approval of the will
  • Undue influence or duress
  • Fraud or forgery
  • Rectification and construction
  • Inheritance Act claims for spouses, former spouses, cohabitees, children, and financial dependents
  • Breach of Trust by Trustees
  • Breach of Fiduciary Duties

 

Memberships

Stuart is full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (‘STEP’) and is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (‘TEP’), and a Full Accredited Member of Solicitors for the Elderly (‘SFE’).  He is also a Notary Public and provides Notarial services. Stuart is currently studying to become an Associate Member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
