Career

As a senior patent attorney for over 20 years, Mr. Wu is highly experienced in patent prosecution, invalidation, and due diligence in a wide range of technical fields, including mechanical engineering, medical devices, automobile industry, audio systems, digital technology, semiconductor and home appliances. Since 1991, Mr. Wu has successfully handled a large number of patent applications and IP disputes involving patent infringements and patent invalidation for both foreign and domestic clients including Fortune 500 entities. His clientele includes Haier, Gree, ZTE, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, and Unilin. He has authored many articles in both Chinese and international journals such as Electronics Intellectual Property, World Trademark Review, China IP Focus, and China Intellectual property Newspaper etc. In 2011, Mr. Wu participated in drafting textbooks for use by SIPO in patent attorney practical skills training and has also taught classes as well as conducted teacher training. Mr. Wu has also been an active speaker/moderator in a number of international conferences and seminars, sharing his knowledge and experience of patent practice in China with audiences from all over the world. Mr. Wu is credited by his in-depth and comprehensive understanding of IP related laws and regulations. He is well known for his ability to analyze complicated facts and propose feasible solutions based on his abundant professional knowledge and practical experience. In 2012, he was named as a Top 30 Leading Patent Attorney in China by China Intellectual Property News.
