| Mr. Solomon J DAVID, an engineer in electronics and telecommunications, has been a leading practitioner in IP law for over 30 years. Mr. Solomon is working as a senior patent attorney with De Penning & De Penning since 1991. His core expertise is in prosecuting patent applications relating to the mechanical, automotive, software, telecommunication and pharmaceutical fields. He also has extensive experience in handling various opposition and revocation proceedings before the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB), including representing the firm in a revocation proceeding where a precedent was established by upholding method claims for software related inventions. One of his major accomplishments was the grant of the first product patent in India. He was involved in successfully defending the first ever pre-grant opposition and first ever post grant opposition under the product patent regime in India. He rendered extensive technical support in some of the most prominent patent litigation matters in India. |
