Position

Matthew is a Partner at Hall & Wilcox and is co-lead of the firm’s National Financial Services and Insurance Industry Group. He also heads up the National General Insurance team.

Matthew’s practice includes: managing personal injury, disability, professional indemnity, D&O, MPL and EPL claims; advising commercial clients on risk/insurance related aspects of their business and legal review of insurance programs/policies including excess layer and reinsurance policies; and advising insurers and intermediaries on policy development and associated regulatory considerations including exemptions, pds statements and distribution, and regulatory considerations in the event of a potential breach or a commercial transaction.

Matthew joined Hall & Wilcox as a Partner in 2014, having been with his previous firm since 1993.

Solicitor member of the New South Wales Government’s Architects Registration Board. Member of the Insurance Institute of Australia, the Australian Insurance Lawyers Association, and the Australian Professional Insurance Group.
