Career

With 20 years of experience working in the legal profession, Esther has been with the Roythornes family now for almost 8 years and is extremely proud to practice as a Fellow of CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives).

Esther specialises in estate and trust administration within our Private Client team, assisting bereaved clients and families through the probate process with empathy and care, and administering trusts on behalf of appointed Trustees.

Esther advises on all aspects of estate administration and trust compliance, which includes preparing applications leading to Grants of Representation, completing Tax Accounts for submission to HM Revenue & Customs, including assessing the assets and liabilities in an estate to mitigate the effects of any potential inheritance tax liability, and much more. She has a special interest in intestacy cases (i.e., estates where the Testator has died without leaving a valid Will), working with Genealogists to locate missing beneficiaries, piecing together the family tree, and advising Executors, Personal Representatives and Trustees on their legal duties.
