Partner. Matthew Jones specialises in high-value UK and cross-border patent disputes, with significant experience across multiple technology sectors.
Matthew has nearly 20 years’ experience as an IP lawyer, with an expert knowledge in patent litigation. He also has experience of FRAND licensing disputes.
His work covers a wide range of technology and industry sectors, including telecommunications, electronics, cryptography, mechanical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
He has a PhD in biochemistry, specialising in quantum enzymology, giving him a keen understanding of the technology and life sciences sectors.
Matthew has also worked in-house as a senior counsel at a multinational pharmaceutical company, giving him a further insight into the commercial pressures facing large companies in complex patent disputes.
