Position

Partner highly recommended in leading legal directories, specialising in commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on civil fraud and asset tracing cases, corporate investigations and private damages claims in competition law. Jonathan has extensive experience in dealing with multi-jurisdictional emergency procedures in the US, Europe and worldwide. He regularly deals with claims involving search orders, freezing injunctions, document preservation orders and information orders, and is also often asked to act as a supervising solicitor. Jonathan's work ranges from cases that involve advance fee frauds, the diversion of business opportunities and breaches of fiduciary duty to claims involving deceit, bribery and secret profits. Acted on behalf of the Department of Health/NHS in relation to claims against pharmaceutical companies in abuse of dominant position cases as well as price and supply fixing. Recently acted in the high-profile litigation involving the sale of Liverpool Football Club. Other high-profile and reported cases include the Banco Noroeste proceedings as part of the multinational legal team in the recovery of US$242m stolen from the Brazilian Bank.
