Career

Jo’s legal career has spanned more than 20 years thus far, during which she has dealt primarily with residential conveyancing. Beginning her career in the West Midlands, Jo returned to her native Shropshire not long after the arrival of her daughter.  First taking in the position of head of a residential department in a national firm, covering several offices, Jo’s most recent role prior to joining Aarons was as head of the residential department in another well known local Shrewsbury firm. She is also on the Law Society Property Committee.

Jo’s general workload involves residential sales, purchases, re-mortgages, buy-to-lets, sale of parts and transfers of equity.  As a Shropshire resident, she has gained a wealth of experience in the local marketplace.  She also has extensive personal experience of dealing with London properties and all of their peculiarities – in particular leasehold, and shared freehold properties.  Many of her individual clients are landowners of long standing, so she has developed great expertise in dealing with strange and wonderful property titles which have been passed down through families for generations that need unravelling and sorting out.

She has also acted for several local developers, setting up development sites and then dealing with the resulting plot sales.

Jo’s work ethic is to treat each transaction as if it was her own, providing an outstanding service and keeping clients updated every step of the way in clear, no nonsense language.

Outside of work Jo enjoys getting out in the fresh air for a run and when time permits, she loves to travel, particularly Italy where she has family. Her husband is a former MasterChef contestant and a fantastic cook, so culinary delights are also firmly part of her leisure time!  A 15 year old daughter, a 4 year old rescue Jack Russell and a fox red Labrador complete the family.
