Position

Huma started her career in Sussex. Having practised on the northern circuit for a number of years she joined One Fountain Court which later merged with St Philips Chambers. Huma practises exclusively in private and public family law. Huma has won scholarships to both the prestigious Manchester High School for Girls and Gray’s Inn. She is also fluent in Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi and uses her language skills in cases, as required. Huma has experience across all areas of care and adoption public law. She has dealt with people from a vast array of backgrounds and cultures and also has a great deal of experience with people with extreme learning difficulties and mental health issues. Huma has received a wide range of Children Act Private Law cases including issues of residence and contact disputes. Huma has also conducted a complex fact finding hearing. She has dealt with all kinds of applications including specific issue and prohibited steps orders dealing with all aspects, including immigration, religious issues and education.
