Position

Julie completed pupillage and became a tenant of No 7 Fountain Court, later to become St Philips Chambers. Julie advises and acts exclusively in family law matters, both involving children (both public and private law) and the financial aspects of relationship breakdown. Julie enjoys regular instructions from local authorities, parents and guardians including the official solicitor and intervenors in public law proceedings at both County and High Court level. She has experience in complex cases involving sexual abuse of children, non-accidental injury and where there is conflicting expert evidence, from the outset of care cases to fact finding and final disposal. Julie is very experienced in the various types of adoption application from placement applications to the final orders including applications under serial number by prospective adopters. Julie regularly acts in complex private law matters involving residence/contact and all s8 applications. She has experience acting for parents and interveners, including extended family members in demanding cases in this area. She is also regularly instructed to represent the child through a 9.5 Guardian ad Litem. Julie advises and acts for husbands, wives and intervenors in all aspects and at all stages of ancillary relief proceedings, including enforcement. She is also experienced in applications pursuant to Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 and applications under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
