Position
Mary is a Principal Associate in our Employment and Immigration team. She has over 15 years’ experience advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
Mary mainly acts for employers, but also advises unions and employees in senior positions. Her clients’ main sectors include pharmaceutical, retail, utilities, manufacturing and gaming.
Her work has included advising a former non-departmental public body on a large scale (2,500 employees) redundancy exercise and defending the subsequent £45m class actions brought by two trade unions and 1,600 claimants. She is also advising a major manufacturing company on pension scheme issues.
Mary is a qualified trainer and regularly provides training on employment law issues (including GDPR/ Data Protection Act 2018, conducting investigations, and dealing with absences) to a wide range of audiences including local authorities, housing associations, and NDPBs.
