Eduardo Siqueiros focuses in the areas of civil law, commercial and corporate law, project financing and acquisitions, foreign investments, economic competition, insurance, financial entities, taxation for non-residents, telecommunications, foreign trade, arbitration, and mediation. He has been a member of Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa (now Hogan Lovells BSTL) since 1981 and is currently a partner. Latin Lawyer has said that Eduardo Siqueiros is “widely recognized as one of the leading lawyers of his generation in Mexico” (2006) and “is undoubtedly the most prominent name, the leader in high esteem and a referee of international recognition, and even when his extensive practice gives similar recognition by his corporate clients” (2010). Member of the Barra Mexicana Colegio de Abogados (Mexican Bar Association), the Mexican Arbitration Center, and the Arbitration Commission of the Mexico chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Siqueiros is also a member of Fomento Educacional, A.C., an organization that promotes cultural interchange between Mexico and the US; and served as president of the organization from 1998 to 2000. He also served as president of the Mexican for Mediation Institute from 2005 to 2007.

Education

Mr. Siqueiros received his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, to then complete an LLM at Harvard Law School, Cambridge (1980).

Leisure

Mr. Siqueiros has been a professor of law at Universidad Anáhuac (1981-1982), Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) (1986-1990), Universidad Panamericana (1992), and the Escuela Libre de Derecho (1994-1997). He has taught at Universidad Iberoamericana, Santa Fe campus, in the International Legal Business Master of Law program (2002-2005) and the corporations (2005-2008). He is also currently the Coordinator of the International Trade Diploma course organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Escuela Libre de Derecho.
