With more than nine years of in-house experience, Adam Lapidus provides clients with clear and actionable advice.
Adam simplifies complicated and evolving areas of law, provides solutions, and enables clients to act decisively. Prior to joining the firm, Adam was in-house derivatives counsel to two prominent global banks. He has represented U.S. and non-U.S. financial institutions and service providers on both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Adam pays close attention to the practical implications that stem from legal considerations and requirements. He has advised clients on a broad range of capital markets transactions, with a focus on interest rate, credit, and foreign exchange (FX) derivatives, as well as futures, repos, and registered note offerings.
Adam has worked with clients on all aspects of derivatives regulatory compliance. He has advised swap dealers on their compliance programs, non-dealers on exceptions to registration, and end users with respect to clearing and margin requirements. Adam has been deeply involved in several industry initiatives related to Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and U.S. Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) rule-makings under Dodd-Frank. In addition, Adam served as a member of the New York City Bar Association Futures & Derivatives Regulation Committee.
