Career

Anna is a Managing Associate in the Employment team and advises on the full range of employment law issues. Since joining Lewis Silkin in 2015, Anna has worked with a wide range of clients including law firms, banks, companies in the retail sector and individuals. She has extensive experience in litigation and day-to-day advisory matters, and advises clients in English, Spanish and Italian. In addition to advisory work, Anna also carries out investigations.

Litigation
Anna has extensive experience of Employment Tribunal litigation, including complex whistleblowing, discrimination and unfair dismissal cases as well as more unusual claims, such as successfully defending an application from an international news organisation to access documents in a Tribunal claim our client had won. She regularly guides clients through the intricacies of Tribunal procedure, and represents both respondents and claimants in hearings and judicial mediations.

Advisory work
She works with companies across a range of sectors, including professional services, finance, entertainment, construction and travel.

Anna provides pragmatic and commercial advice on day-to-day employment queries. Her practice includes advising on matters such as grievances and disciplinaries, dismissals, restructures and collective consultations, TUPE transfers and contract and policy reviews. Anna particularly enjoys working closely with clients to help them find the right commercial approach for their business.

Anna also advises employees, and her recent work includes representing clients in discrimination and whistleblowing matters as well as advising on terms of employment and negotiated exits.

Investigations
As a member of the Investigations and Regulatory group, Anna regularly carries out investigations for clients in addition to her advisory work. She has conducted sensitive and complex investigations for domestic and international companies across the financial, legal and entertainment sectors, including investigations with a regulatory angle.

International
Anna has extensive experience working with Spanish and Italian clients, both those setting up in the UK and those with an established presence. She regularly advises foreign companies on English legal issues and has managed large cross-jurisdictional matters, working closely with colleagues in their international Ius Laboris network.

Anna has also delivered client training internationally in English, Spanish and Italian. She has spoken on discrimination law at an international conference, and have co-authored an article published in an international legal journal.

Diversity
Anna is passionate about diversity and inclusion and co-leads the LGBT+ Strand of Lewis Silkin’s Diversity Board.

Outside of work, Anna is a trustee of the charity Bi Pride UK.
