Position

Rosemary Sharp is a Partner in the Family team.

Rosemary advises on a wide range of clients on all aspects of private family law. Her work predominantly focuses on divorce, financial claims arising on divorce, businesses and complex income arrangements, farming assets, armed forces personnel, landed estates and Trusts. Rosemary’s work also includes private children matters, contact & residence and financial provision for children following an unmarried relationship breakdown. She also regularly advise on wealth protection issues such as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Rosemary’s approach and strategy is always tailored to each individual client and focuses on what they want to achieve.  Where possible she always tries to find a pragmatic solution for clients. If a court application is necessary, her advice is robust and practical.

Career

Rosemary trained at a firm specialising in private client matters and upon qualification in 2010 joined their family team. She subsequently moved to join the family team at Lester Aldridge in 2017.

The team at Lester Aldridge LLP is ‘organised, professional and very well prepared, offering an outstanding service’. Typical work includes complex financial remedy cases and protecting assets through prenuptial agreements, as well as advising on declaration of trusts and cohabitation agreements. There have been a few changes, with associates Kimberley Davies leaving for Trethowans LLP  and Joanne Clarke  being promoted to partner and Rosemary Sharp who specialises in rural landed estates and farming assets,  joining as partner from Wilsons. Practice head Jane Porter is ‘particularly worthy of mention, going the extra mile for her clients’. Porter specialises in complex family companies and pension schemes; she also advises on prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation claims, and disputes relating to children under Schedule 1 of the Children Act.
