Position

Laura Wharton is a Partner in the Employment team.

Laura advises clients on a wide range of employment law issues, from undertaking disciplinary and grievance processes, redundancies and TUPE.  Laura also provides advice to employers and employees in relation to employment tribunal litigation.

Laura is the main contact for the corporate team in mergers and acquisition work, and frequently supports her colleagues in JMW’s Court of Protection team when matters arise.

Laura is a member of JMW’s Sports team having undertaken work previously for football clubs and exits of football players.

When Laura worked in-house she oversaw the development of new business start-ups which involved the recruitment of staff, IT and dealing with clients outside of her employment advisory specialism.
