Dr. Sevi was admitted to İzmir Bar Association in 2000 and is presently a member of İstanbul Bar Association. He worked in Birsel Law Offices, one of Turkiye’s leading law firms, and Sevi & Mergen Law Firm as partner. He is a seasoned attorney with an outstanding experience and vast knowledge especially in commercial law, company law and capital market law. He advises local and international high-profile companies engaged in various sectors, including IT, telecom and insurance in sophisticated corporate law issues; corporate governance of publicly held and closely held companies; incorporation, operation, audit, liquidation, as well as restructuring of limited and joint stock companies. His practice also includes cross-border M&A transactions. He led teams engaged in conducting legal DDs, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SPAs and SHAs on seller and purchaser sides; filing for merger clearance; implementing closing and post-closing actions. He assists local and foreign clients in resolution of commercial disputes in both litigation and arbitration cases, including international arbitration and ADR methods.

Dr. Sevi is an associate professor in Commercial Law. As a recognized scholar, he is the author of three books, numerous articles and published papers in the areas of company law, capital market law and commercial law in general. He is serving as an independent member of the board of directors in a publicly held company, listed in Istanbul Stock Exchange.
