Career
Umurcan is specialised in asset management, alternative investment funds, cross border financial transactions, financial structures/products, conventional and structured financial products, investment banking products, international tax planning, securities law related matters, and financial structuring. His clients are investment and commercial banks, wealth managers and private banks, insurance and pension companies, capital market corporations, investment and private equity funds, asset managers, corporate treasurers.
He has authored many international finance law and comparative tax law articles published in various magazines and newspapers. Furthermore, he has been actively participating as a speaker in various seminars and training programs. He has been a guest speaker and/or adjunct professor at institutions such as Yeditepe University Law Faculty, Istanbul Bilgi University Law Faculty and the Washington College of Law.
