Divorce and family law

Arron Bortoft is a Director of Vardags and a Senior Chartered Legal Executive. With over twenty years of experience in matrimonial and family law, Arron specialises in high net worth financial matters and private Children Act law, frequently involving an international element. Many of Arron’s cases concern complex issues, often relating to jurisdiction or offshore trusts, and which involve work at Court of Appeal level, requiring a creative and tenacious approach.

Arron began his career in fam law in the early 1990s. In 1998, Arron moved to a leading Mayfair law firm, where he remained for 14 years. He joined Vardags in October 2012.

Based in the Cambridge office, Arron represents clients from Cambridgeshire and its surrounds as well as continuing London-based caseload.

Arron has acted for many high-profile and high net worth clients during his time in family law. These include Li Quan the international tiger conservationist in her multi-jurisdiction financial proceedings, and the Marchioness of Northampton in her highly reported settlement. More recently Arron successfully represented the home-maker in a highly-publicised Chancery Division proceeding between same-sex cohabitees over ownership of their shared home.
