Career

As founding Partner of the Firm, Mr. Burak Çavuş is specialized in all types of commercial litigation and arbitration, contractual disputes, finance and corporate matters. As one of the best litigators in Turkey, he acts on behalf of Turkish and foreign clients in complex disputes in domestic and international arbitration proceedings and litigations. Mr. Burak Çavuş was graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and admitted as a qualified lawyer in 1998. Before the foundation of Cavus & Coskunsu he had practiced maritime law for over seven years in a major law firm in Istanbul where he became a partner in 2003.

During his practice he gained extensive experience and knowledge on difficult legal matters by making a concentrated effort to obtain positive results for clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters. He acted on behalf of Turkish and foreign clients and he practiced as a consultant on domestic and foreign commercial queries. He has been successfully providing legal service to the domestic and international clients for twenty years in the complex matters of almost every area of law with his experience and knowledge including maritime law, commercial cases, domestic and international arbitration, employment law, banking and finance law, ship finance, restructuring and bankruptcy, oil and energy law, enforcement and bankruptcy law.
