Career
As an associate with the Competition and Regulatory team, she handles various telecommunications, technology, media, and intellectual property related questions for our clients. She specializes in supporting clients from the creative sector as she greatly admires film and music. She is most passionate about matters connected to trademarks and copyrights.
Professional highlights
Passion for IP and IT law. In her daily work, she helps clients mainly with different issues related to trademarks and copyrights. She found her passion for intellectual property law after working with software development contracts. She also tries to apply her professional knowledge outside of her daily work by supporting different projects that she believes in, i.e. contributing to the organization of the international movie festival PÖFF.
International view. Before joining Sorainen, she interned with the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Mission of Estonia to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, as well as with the Government Office of Estonia during the Presidency of the Council of the EU. She has also spent some time in England and Australia as an exchange student. These experiences have given her a versatile background in international public law and the precious skill of always seeing the broader picture.
Skillful argumentation. She believes that two-sided discussions and meaningful facts are keys to success in both court and in public discussions. She has been engaged in debating for over 10 years and knows well how to achieve expected results through negotiations. In addition to self-development, the debating training has given her an opportunity to instruct others and support the development of our society through moderating public discussions at the widely respected Estonian Opinion Festival.
