Heidi Rand is a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution & Risk Management practice group and also involved in the work of the firm’s Life Sciences & Healthcare as well as Industrials and Trade & Consumer Goods sector groups.
Constitutional law. Heidi has been involved in the team representing clients in disputes concerning the constitutionality of amendments to legislation.
European Law Moot Court Competition. In 2018, Heidi was chosen for the team representing the University of Tartu in this competition. The topics were European public procurement law, data protection issues and European sanctions. After a successful written phase her team reached the oral presentation round and pleaded in front of panels of experts in European law.
Empowering students. As one of the leaders of the Sorainen Student Academy, Heidi has given a course at the University of Tartu to encourage law students to improve their skills and participate in moot court competitions. In co-operation with the European Law Students Association (ELSA) she also holds lectures to spread legal knowledge among high school students. With the aim of empowering students to profit from extra-curricular activities, Heidi has been a board and audit committee member of ELSA Tallinn and ELSA Estonia.
