Career

After starting her career with a Top 100 leading law firm in 1999, Ellen Petersen joined Fisher Jones Greenwood in 2006, was made partner in 2009 and is head of the Commercial Property team. She specialises in the acquisition of land for business development and investment purposes. She also deals with planning and infrastructure agreements, business sales and purchases, commercial leases and business opportunities in the rural and agricultural sectors. She has a further interest in commercial development and planning. Ellen also advises a number of regional and national charities.

In the rural sector, Ellen’s clients include both local and regional agricultural and farming businesses. Ellen also advises a leading national provider of specialist learning disability services in Scotland, England and Wales in the acquisition of properties which will be designated for supported living purposes. She is also involved in the acquisition of bare land for development for supported living and care home accommodation.

The “very knowledgeable and responsive” Commercial Property team continues to be ranked Tier 1, with Ellen a “recommended lawyer” by the Legal500 (UK) directory.
