Position

Paul Gooren advises corporate and other clients on all matters pertaining to individual and collective employment law, inter alia, the drafting of employment contracts, dismissals, industrial action, co-determination, compliance, works constitution law, and collective bargaining agreements. In addition to providing legal advice, he also acts as a litigator before labour and civil courts. Furthermore, he has authored various specialist publications.

Career

Paul Gooren studied law in Berlin (Germany) and Bologna (Italy) until 2010, following which he worked as a research assistant for an employment law chair at the Berlin Humboldt University. In 2014, Paul Gooren was awarded his doctorate from the University of Leipzig (Germany) for a thesis on a collective employment law topic. Paul Gooren carried out his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin, which also included a period of training in New York (USA). Dr. Paul Gooren has been admitted to the bar since 2016 and works for Luther. Since 2021 he has also been an attorney specialising in labour law.
