Johanna Klingen is an Associate in Fieldfisher´s Dusseldorf office and specialises in the areas of Data Protection and IT Law.
She advises technology-driven companies on issues relating to IT and Data Protection Law.
On the one hand, this includes advising on in-house compliance programmes, international data transfers, direct marketing, e-commerce and health data protection. On the other hand, it also includes strategic advice on contract negotiations as well as international data protection projects, especially for data-driven business models.
Her particular expertise lies in assisting with regulatory as well as judicial proceedings.
An understanding of the client’s business model and the commercial interests pursued is essential for goal-oriented advice. She attaches great importance to always presenting our clients with solutions that are tailored to them and that they can implement.
Career
Before joining Fieldfisher, she gained relevant experience during her training at various international commercial law firms, including in London.

She advises our clients in German and English.
Education
She discovered her interest in IT and Data Protection Law at an early age. Already during her studies, she focused on these areas of law and majored in “Information and Communications Law”.
