Position
Guillaume Hersemeyer is a Senior Associate in Fieldfisher´s Hamburg office and advises on all data protection and information technology issues.
He advises our national and international clients on the implementation of comprehensive data protection management systems or assists them in dealing with data protection breaches or internal investigations. He also provides support in negotiations with data protection authorities.
The focus of his work is the development of pragmatic and legally secure solutions – for example in the context of digital transformation or in the areas of big data analytics and smart contracts as well as in the e-commerce context.
Another core aspect is legal support for outsourcing deals and the structuring of international data transfers. In doing so, he pursues a creative and solution-oriented advisory approach.
Our clients are start-ups and SMEs as well as large multinationals and come predominantly from the Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, Global Financial Services, Health Sciences, Industrial Products, Real Estate and Retail & Consumer Products sectors.
Career
Before joining Fieldfisher, he worked for a major US law firm in Berlin.

He advises our clients in German and English.
Education
He studied law in Mainz before completing his traineeship in Wiesbaden, Mainz and Los Angeles. He then worked for a boutique law firm in Frankfurt am Main and for a business consultancy in Hamburg.
