Position

Sarah-Jane specialises in employment law. She advises employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Sarah-Jane is experienced in conducting Employment Tribunal litigation, from initial proceedings up to either a hearing or settlement. She has dealt with claims for unfair dismissal, sex, race and disability discrimination, whistleblowing, and equal pay claims.

She advises a broad range of clients from the education, commercial, sports and charity sectors on all manner of employment issues, including employment contracts, policies and procedures, settlement agreements, disciplinary and grievance issues, performance management, redundancies and other terminations, TUPE transfers, and Tribunal litigation. She also has experience advising senior executives on their contracts of employment, exit negotiations and settlement agreements.

Career

Sarah-Jane completed her training contract at Lewis Silkin, during which she spent 6 months on secondment to Shell International Ltd’s in-house employment legal team. On qualification, Sarah-Jane moved to Morgan Russell and joined Farrer & Co in July 2010.
