Harald is partner of Deloitte Legal since 2002 and leads the Hanover office since 2003. Harald is specialized in corporate law and M&A. Focus of his activities are the corporate advice of partnerships and corporations in merger and transaction processes. He is consulted both by strategic and PE investors. A further key aspect is the corporate advice of family owned companies and the estate planning, in particular with the involvement of trust models. The Juve-Handbook points out Harald Stang as „recommendable for transactions and corporate“. Competitors compliment his “pragmatic approach”.


After an employment as assistant auditor with an auditors practice Harald commenced practice as a lawyer in 1998 in the partnership Dr. von Boehmer Tammer, which merged in 2002 with Raupach & Wollert-Elmendorff (now Deloitte Legal). In 2002 Harald Stang was appointed as partner and in 2003 head of the Hanover office.


Harald Stang speaks German and English.


Harald studied law and economics at the University of Göttingen. In 1995 he finished his doctoral dissertation in business administration.

The group worked with the firm’s labour and antitrust departments in advising Grupo Ferrer Internacional on the sale of Trommsdorff to Dermapharm. In another highlight, it assisted Kyocera with the acquisition of software provider Alos. Michael von Rüden, who is ‘competent’ and ‘responsive’, and ‘thinks like an entrepreneur’, led advice on this matter. Harald Stangkeeps an eye on all the components of a transaction’ and Julia Petersentakes all areas into account and is a good negotiator’. Markus Schackmann is also recommended.
