Position

Counsel in the Projects (Finance and Infrastructure) department, Magueye Gueye  joined Gide in 2012 as associate. He specialises in project finance and PPPs in the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. He regularly advises on projects in Africa on behalf of governments, sponsors and lenders.

Magueye joined the Projects team of Gide in 2016, after having spent four years within the Tax department of Gide where he has developed an expertise in French and international tax law, particularly in business restructuration (mergers and acquisitions), transfer pricing, VAT, tax audit and financial tax.

As such, Magueye is able to advise foreign companies willing to invest in Africa under PPP schemes on all aspects of their investments, including tax law and foreign exchange control.

Magueye holds Master’s degrees in corporate taxation (2010) and accountancy and auditing (2009) from Paris Dauphine University, as well as an advanced diploma in accounting and management (2009).
