Position

Dane Rimsevica is an associate within Gide’s Intellectual Property, Telecommunications, Media & Technology practice group. Her main fields of activity include information technology, electronic communications, e-commerce and personal data protection. She regularly advises national and international clients on complex information-technology-related matters, and particularly agreements that include software licensing, maintenance and integration, but also the implementation of obligations under the electronic communications legal framework.

Dane also assists clients of various industry sectors on personal data-protection-related issues, including the implementation of the applicable legal framework (declaration and transfer formalities, implementation of information and security requirements, control and e-discovery procedures) and setting up cross-border compliance projects related to global information technology systems and outsourcing.

Drawing on her background in European law and further to her experience in EU institutions, Dane has gained an in-depth knowledge of the European regulatory process and she often advises clients on issues related to regulatory procedures and policy developments.

Dane holds Master’s degree from Paris II ‘ Panthéon-Assas University and an LL.M. in intellectual property from Queen Mary University of London.
