Key highlights for F J & G De Saram included advising on a mixed development project, and providing advice in relation to a hydroelectric power plant.
Chanaka de Silva leads a six-fee-earner team at Nithya Partners which advises domestic and international clients including US and European companies. Aitken Spence plc remains a client; the firm has recently advised the company in relation to its exit from a joint venture project to develop a terminal of the Colombo South Port.
Recent work for DL & F De Saram includes advising on a power purchase agreement, and advising on a joint venture development project. Led by Prabash De Saram, the team also worked alongside Clifford Chance in providing advice to a Dutch financing company regarding a loan to Sri Lanka’s hydro power sector.
The four-partner projects team at Julius & Creasy is led by Anandhiy Gunawardhana and J M Swaminathan. It remains active in renewable energy projects.
Neelakandan & Neelakandan advises local and international clients on projects and energy matters. Saravanan Neelakandan is leading a team in providing advice to Chinese and Japanese contractors in relation to the Southern Transport Development Project. The firm is also currently advising Taisei Corporation of Japan on phase one of the Greater Colombo Urban Development Project, involving the construction of the outer circular highway.
