Career

I am a Partner and the Regional Head of the Irwin Mitchell Medical Negligence team in Birmingham. I have specialised in medical negligence cases for over 23 years. I have significant amounts of experience across the complete spectrum of medical accidents including cases against hospitals, GPs and other health professionals. I have dealt with numerous cases involving children and mothers injured at birth, brain and spinal injuries and have also handled many fatal cases in which I represent family members at coroner's inquests. I regularly recover damages in excess of several millions of pounds for the most catastrophically injured clients to ensure that they are supported throughout their lives. I am a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel and a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

In addition I lead a team in the Birmingham office which specialises in child abuse cases. We represent individuals who have experienced sexual and physical abuse and neglect. I have acted for clients in cases against local authorities, schools, religious organisations and children’s homes.
