Position

Lead partner of the Birmingham serious injury team. Represents clients who have sustained brain and spinal cord injuries, polytrauma and amputations. Deals with all aspects of claimant catastrophic injury work arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, public and occupier liability claims, sport injuries and product liability claims.

Cases concluded last year include: a settlement on behalf of a young man rendered tetraplegic in a car accident client in the sum of £9.5m; a settlement of £1m for a woman with severe lower limb fractures after a motorbike accident; a settlement of £1.75m plus annual payments for care costs for life on behalf of a young woman who sustained a below knee amputation in a collision with a police vehicle; and a settlement of £2.75m for a man who sustained a brain injury in an accident at work.

The team he supervises has successfully supported many clients through rehabilitation and by obtaining substantial interim funds to pay for care packages and new houses.
