Shakespeare Martineau LLP‘s restructuring, recoveries, and insolvency team provides advice on all aspects of traditional contentious and transactional insolvency work to a range of clients that includes insolvency practitioners and lenders, as well as corporates. The practice is able to exploit sector expertise from within the firm, particularly in the banking and financial services space, to assist clients with a full range of matters. Andrew Taylor is the national head of the team, advising on formal insolvency issues; additional support is provided by Sheena Tandy and Christopher Neale.

Sheena provides pragmatic and commercial advice within the field of both corporate and personal insolvency

She has a wide range of experience in contentious and non-contentious insolvency law for both national and local clients. In particular, her experience includes advising on validity of appointments, security documentation, retention of title claims, sales of distressed businesses. She also has extensive experience in dealing with asset recovery actions, director’s conduct and misfeasance claims and all antecedent transactions.

Sheena predominately acts for insolvency practitioners but also acts on behalf of financial institutions, creditors, companies, individual directors and other stakeholder
