Patrick Franke is a corporate, M&A, and emerging companies/venture capital attorney and co-leader of Ballard Spahr’s Corporate practice. He serves as a trusted advisor to privately held companies including venture-backed startups, private equity sponsored companies, and large family-owned businesses, and their founders, boards of directors, and investors. Pat serves on the firm's Elected Board.

Pat advises clients at every stage of the business lifecycle on a broad range of issues, including debt and equity financings, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic transactions and relationships, licensing and distribution transactions, and other commercial matters. He counsels individual and institutional investors, including venture capital firms and corporations, with their investment activities and transactions.
